Ships, ports and what happens on board, reported independently.

About

An independent voice for cruise passengers

Cruise & Maritime is a news, reviews and guides publication for people who cruise, or are thinking about it. We are not owned by a cruise line and we do not sell cruises.

What we cover

  • News. Itinerary changes, new ships, port developments and consumer issues that affect passengers.
  • Ship reviews. Cabins, dining, service, shows and value, scored the same way on every ship.
  • Port guides. Practical advice for departure ports and ports of call, including how to get there and how long you need.
  • Cruise tips. Plain-English guidance on booking, packing, tendering, dining and cabins.

Who is behind it

Cruise & Maritime is edited by Tim Todd, who also runs Sounds and Stage, a theatre and entertainment publication with a team of five producing news, reviews and interviews. The same editorial approach applies here: reporting from first-hand visits and press contacts, clear scoring, and plain disclosure of anything that could influence coverage.

Independence and the name
